I’m the new owner of Urban Pet.
I bought the store from Michelle Sturino on September 15th, 2009. It has always been my dream to own a store catering to dogs and to dog lovers.
My main focus is to provide the best products and services possible, such as dog grooming. I am always open to suggestions and if anything is not 100% right, I do my best to make it right.
We are open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Tuesday to Friday, and 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday. Sunday and Monday we are closed. If you want to make an appointment, please call 514-488-9099 or email me at ruth@urban-pet.ca.

My dog use to eat IAMs low residue dog food. IAMS had a recall and I tried a different low residue food that my vet recommend. He has a very sensitive system and the new food flared his stomach up. I need a recommendation of a dog food that won’t make him sick. Of course my poor rescued dog was the only dog that the new food didn’t agree with. Please help
Hi Donna,
IAMS and food sold by vets are far from being the best you can give your dog. They contain fillers and low quality protein sometimes as a second or third ingredient. When you have a dog with stomach issues it might take a while before you find the food that’s good for him but I would stay away from the chain store brands and buy higher end food that contains better quality ingredients.
I carry Orijen and Acana which are Canadian made with only fresh meat never frozen, no grains, fillers, or anything artificial so that’s as close to low residue as you can get, like many people that feed their dogs Orijen say, my dog eats better food than I do
and if that doesn’t work we can try other alternatives that are either organic or contain probiotics to help with the digestion. All of the above are 100% satisfaction guarantied so you can try them and get your money back if you see no improvements. I hope this helps
